Hey, I'm Jenny.
I'm in my third year of the York University Bachelor of Design program with a focus on product and UX design.
Before design, I worked in the visual effects industry as a matte painter for the new Star Trek tv series. I've also worked at a pharmacy and as a social media/website assistant.
You might be wondering how jobs like matte painting, pharmacy work, and being a website assistant relate to product and UX design. The connection lies in what I enjoyed most about each role—expressing creativity through matte painting, helping people in the pharmacy, and organizing information as a website assistant. UX and product design allow me to bring these strengths together—art, empathy, and critical thinking—to create meaningful and impactful solutions.

Play
While the work I produce remains serious, I find that approaching it playfully, allows me to produce my best work.

Embrace Failing
Many past projects didn't turn out the way I expected, but it's the ongoing effort to pursue what's important to me that has brought me this far.

Share
I try to share what I do with others every step of the way, having a group of people I trust to provide feedback is crucial to how final designs turn out.
